Meet Anders Bertelsen

COWI has a long history of working with wastewater and treatment plants, so we have experience, strong credentials and a well-established organisation. I work with colleagues from different fields of expertise, from all our offices and on projects all over the country. Even though a lot of the work is behind a desk, conditions vary from project to project, making local knowledge and presence important. 

I work on a combination of big and small projects, representing our team to the customers while overseeing the projects, the time plan and the economy. My role is to connect the dots and to get the different competencies and experts to contribute. Many of our customers face extraordinary challenges, and we have to be at the forefront and deliver extraordinary skills. We are versatile; we talk to the customer, handle stakeholders, understand the operations people and help manage the finances.

I find my work varied and challenging. I am part of a team with all the skills I don’t possess myself. We are a mix of young and more experienced people, which fosters an environment of curiosity and learning. Because the projects are complex and reach beyond our own field, we work with other disciplines, and learn from them. 

Finally, I make efforts to enhance the environment with my work. We care for the environment we have; help preserve it, protect and improve it. We help our customers do the right things, creating a real difference that benefit our climate going forward.
