“Converting 2km of the Worcester Southern Link Road to dual carriageway, including earthworks and three new bridges – this project had a bit of everything for an engineer.” Says Ben Curry, Associate Bridge Engineer, COWI in the UK.
“Our team started work almost instantly to limit further storm induced damages to the Hurst castle. We made sure that our short-term solution protecting the castle could also easily be converted into a long-term one. The urgency was what made this project different and exciting”. Says Nadia Genovese, Associate Coastal Engineer, COWI in the UK.
“I’ve worked on the Transpennine Route Upgrade (TRU) project for four years now and the site visits are definitely my favourite part. It’s amazing to see the scale of the project, after you’ve seen it as just lines and circles on a page for months. It’s great to see the final product in person!” Says Matt Green, Principal Engineer, COWI in the UK.
“The proposed Coire Glas Project will be the first large scale pumped storage scheme to be developed in the UK. The stunning location, the hard rock tunnelling and of course the renewable aspect – this is definitely a dream project for most engineers and I’m honoured to be part of this team.” Says Amy Campbell, Senior Civil Engineer, COWI in the UK.
